Unique Design Challenges

This project is to be built for a family as a second home and eventually will become their retirement home. It is just over 4,000 square feet. The challenge for us was to find the lot and create a home that would accommodate this family’s needs both now and later. Using technology to control the home will be important, so that everything from the sprinkler system to the thermostat inside the home can be controlled from the owner’s smart phone miles away.

A gated subdivision near Lakeway had the optimal location and lot for this client. When we selected it, we already had a home design in mind. The home itself is designed to cater to the privacy of these homeowners, with most of the homes’ windows in back and toward the pool. The breathtaking Hill Country views are captured from almost every room of the home.
