Showcase Dream Home

Featured on the cover of American Dream Homes, the objective of this Showcase Home project was to create a Spanish mission home on an odd-shaped upward-sloping lot with no view. The unique linear floor plan, which forms a “U” shape around the pool, took maximum advantage of the lot shape. Using the topography to form two tiers of flower beds in back gave the pool and spa a beautiful backdrop. The spa and associated “cabana” with its hidden water sheers became the centerpiece of the back yard. Another creative solution involved placing the Outdoor Kitchen in the Media/Game Room and opening it up to the back yard with a folding door system to accommodate lot topography. Above all, the detail in this home is what made an impact on those who visited.

In addition to winning “Best Custom Home” in Texas, this home also won many other awards and was published in American Dream Homes magazine as their feature story.
