Luxury Home Tour Showcase Home
Location: The Reserve at Lake Travis
Completion date: June 2015, debuts in the Luxury Home Tour 2015
Specs: 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, 5,471 total SF
At the top of a rolling hill in The Reserve at Lake Travis just outside of Austin Texas, walls of stucco, shiplap siding and locally-sourced limestone combine with a standing seam metal roof to create a beautiful Rustic Hill Country Modern home, designed and built by Jenkins Custom Homes.
From the driveway, steps wind up the hill to a giant old oak tree rising from the center of the site. To the left, a sparkling spa and pool surrounded by an outdoor living area is located in the front of the home. Directly ahead, large double glass doors welcome you into this home full of windows, providing an abundance of natural light. Earthy materials like bamboo, granite, shiplap wood and stone create a feeling of warmth and peace.
The gourmet kitchen features Viking professional appliances and a very unique underlit bar.
The guest casita with a separate entrance is located just beyond the swimming pool and spa, offering visitors their own private retreat.
The master suite boasts a rock wall separating a pass-through shower and freestanding ceramic bathtub. A large buttglass window looks out onto a beautifully landscaped bunker. For added privacy, a short stone wall is built at the top. The window creates a harmonious connection between the indoors and out to provide a placid spa-like atmosphere for the homeowners.
Two secondary bedrooms with their own bathrooms are located on the second floor, along with a large gameroom, which features a bar and plenty of space for a billiard table and a beautiful view of Lake Travis.
