FAQ Friday: Do Wood Windows Sag?

Welcome to the first edition of our weekly FAQ Friday blog posts, where we will answer your most common questions.

Question:
Do wood windows sag?

Answer (provided by Andersen Windows):
Improvements in design and materials have solved the problem of wood window sag from the past. For instance, all of our wood windows have cladding materials like fiberglass and aluminum to resist sagging.

In a nutshell, these aren’t your grandmother’s wood windows (no offense to Grandma!).  The wood windows of today are not not only engineered to be reinforced but also are time-tested, as wood windows have been clad for many years.  Really, it’s now an industry standard and has been for some years.  That’s really great news for those who really love the look of the wood window but also want the strength of a durable one!
