Jenkins Custom Homes Wins Best Custom Home 2002

Jenkins Custom Homes has been awarded the 2002 Texas Star Award for Best Custom Home in the $150K-$250K price category by the Texas Association of Builders. The ceremony took place at a dinner at the Hyatt Regency Landmark Ballroom on October 19. As winner of this award, Jenkins Custom Homes will be featured in a one-page ad in the “Texas Builder” magazine, in addition to being recognized as one of a best in class in the entire state of Texas.

“Jenkins Custom Homes has put Dripping Springs in the spotlight for quality home construction,” said Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce President, Pamela Carroll. “We are pleased to have this type of exposure at the state and national level.”

The objective in the design submitted by Jenkins Custom Homes was to build a home that incorporates unique architectural elements typically found in much more expensive homes. These elements included limestone arches, double French doors, a landscaped courtyard, and a large stone fireplace.

The Texas Association of Builders sponsors the Sunbelt Builder’s Show as well as many other events for Builders, including many outstanding educational seminars. If you are interested in learning more about the Texas Association of Builders, check the website at Texas Builders for information.
