301 Bisset Court

Thursday night was the Opening Night Preview Party for the 2010 Parade of Homes™, and there was no mistaking the excitement in the air as the Jenkins Home – 301 Bisset Court – was revealed to the public for the first time.  The well-dressed crowds loved the Tuscan home, which was designed using the exclusive Guide to Picture Perfect Projects™ and offers its owners both a personal get-away and stylish entertaining.

In the grand room, beauty and comfort have formed a perfect marriage as a wall of glass slides into the negative edge pool, high-lighting Lake Travis and the beautiful hill country beyond.  The grand room also boasts the signature Jenkins Arch™ that delineates that room from the kitchen, and includes a sophisticated juxtaposition of stone and millwork that compose the fireplace wall.  Soft faux finishes tie it all together.  Just inside the front door is a one-of-a-kind bar grotto that appears to have been carved out of stone.  Glass shelves display the owner’s barware.

As guests wandered into the kitchen, they discovered all of the expected modern luxuries, including a microwave drawer, warming drawer, Wolf range and Sub-Zero refrigerator – complete with wood paneling to balance the elegant millwork in the grand room.  Just behind the kitchen was the “back kitchen” – a fabulous use of space that will allow the homeowner additional storage and counter space for the caterers.

Adjacent to the back kitchen lies the fully equipped media room with a disappearing wall, allowing the 500 square feet of outdoor living space to share in the entertainment.  This is also the site of the HD Golf Competition – a friendly game of virtual golf that will continue until the end of the Parade of Homes.  The winner of the competition will take home the Nike Red Cavity Back Irons, complements of Britgolf ($699 value)!  The first three swings are free; after that, participants are asked to donate to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  The leader board will be posted here on the blog, so be sure and check back often!

Entertaining will be a breeze for the owners of this home, with a full outdoor kitchen, ample room for seating, and a fireplace.  It’s just a short walk across the stepping stone lily pads to the Master Suite, where a sleeping porch allows the owners to enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sun set over the horizon.  Additional features of this home include ostrich leather in study, hidden TV in grand room, hidden room in master closet and paneled stairwell.  Come out and see for yourself why people are calling this “Another great Jenkins parade home!”.
