With our entire design team sitting in the room with you, we examine all aspects of how you live in your home:

• Flow of traffic
• How and where you eat
• How and where you work in the home

These are just a few of the many aspects of your life we discuss with you. We also look at the shape and topography of the home site to maximize views, account for slope, maximize prevailing winds, and apply LEED principals (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for maximizing energy efficiency through good design.

The process starts with an interactive interview in which the Jenkins creative team asks detailed questions, and then carefully listens to what you say, and how you say it—your physical reaction, tone of voice, body language. We drill down on every question to measure your response. Then we evaluate each answer to determine the priority of each feature and its place in the budget. We make sure you get what’s most important to you while staying true to the style of the home, world-class design of a Jenkins home, and your budget. Our in-house design team really makes the difference. Having our Lead Designer sitting across the table from you allows him to start sketching your thoughts and ideas right before your eyes.
